Right Configuration of BSNL Modem Type UT300R2U

Are you lost with your internet with the wrong configuration of your BSNL modem. Don't worry here is a step by step approach to configure the BSNL Modem and make your internet working.

This configuration is applicable to the following type of Modem:

UTSTARCOM Model Name:

UT300R2U

Step1: Type the IP Address '192.168.1.1' in the address bar of browser. It will ask for username and password. So the default username=admin and the password=admin. After successful login the following screen will be displayed.

Step2: Click on the "Advanced Setup" link in the left side of the window. The following screen will be displayed.

Step3: Click on the "Edit" Button if there is an entry in the right side table. If no entry then click on the "Add" button. Then the following screen will be displayed.

Step4: Fill exactly the details mentioned in the above figure and click on the next button will show the following screen.

Step5: After filling the details mentioned in the above figure proceed to the following screen by clicking next.

Step6: The PPP Username & PPP Password are provided by the BSNL personnel at the time of installation of broadband. If you don't have then call up to the customer care number 1504 (for chennai). After providing the above details then proceed to the next step by clicking next button.

Step7: Provide the above details and click next button.

Step8: You are done with the configuration and click save now. You will see the following configuration.

Step9: After this step click Save/Reboot button under Management link in the left panel. You will see the following screen.

Step10: Click on the Save/Reboot button to reboot the modem with the new configuration provided by you.The modem will take 2 minutes to reboot. After successful reboot click on the "Diagnostics" link on the left side they you should see the "PASS" status as shown in the following figure.
